The 2026 Farmers Market is now being held weekly from 4-7pm on Thursday.  Food service will be set up in the Community Hall for shoppers looking to pick up a simple meal while enjoying the market. 

Need volunteer to handle cashier duties and food service.  (background check required for handling cashbox, SNC pays the fee)

Food service (filling plate/bowl and handing to customer from the kitchen counter)         

3:45-5:00pm (tent on path to Farmers market)

The Market is in full swing and we need a greeter to let everyone know  “What’s special about this Market?”   This volunteer will be using a clicker to count attendees, offering information about vendors, the meal for the evening for purchase in the Community Hall, and sharing info on the various “goings on” that evening (music, pottery, Bookmobile).

This volunteer will deliver and set up festival information as well as Folk Pottery Museum and SNC program info.

These volunteers will wrap up and box raffle items once the raffle ends and winners are drawn.  The items won by winners who are not present will need to be recorded and they will be notified. The items will then be moved to the Folk Pottery Museum conference room.   

From 8:45-9:45am: Pick up raffle items from artists on the lawn, set up items on tables on Community Hall porch. Take a break...
THEN from 10:30am-12:00pm be a floater to assist with water & breaks for volunteers & vendors

Sticks, Stones, Roots and Bones by Mojo on Max is a blues event like no other!  It's an authentic blues presentation accompanied by live music that explores the history of the Blues from the era of slavery through the 1950's, 60's and 70's to the present day.  The performance examines how the genre influenced generations and continues to impact modern music, with a special focus on the significant role played by Georgia artists.

Doors open at 6pm, show begins at 7pm.  In the Historic Gym.

Join in on the fun with this reestablished community favorite.  Volunteers are needed to help make the pancake batter, heat the sausage, set up coffee area PLUS keep the delicious pancakes available for the community.  We appreciate it!

2026 marks the 20th Anniversary of the Folk Pottery Museum. The celebration continues with the opening reception for a special exhibit featuring 35 pieces from the personal collection of Dr. John Burrison.

Two volunteers are needed to refill the food table as needed, pack up leftovers and clean up serving trays (in the Community Hall).

The Market is in full swing and we need a greeter to let everyone know  “What’s special about this Market?”   This volunteer will be using a clicker to count attendees, offering information about vendors, the meal for the evening for purchase in the Community Hall, and sharing info on the various “goings on” that evening (music, pottery, Bookmobile).   

The 2026 Farmers Market is now being held weekly from 4-7pm on Thursday.  Food service will be set up in the Community Hall for shoppers looking to pick up a simple meal while enjoying the market. 

Need volunteer to handle cashier duties and food service.  (background check required for handling cashbox, SNC pays the fee)

Set up tables and chairs, roll silverware, set up beverage table with glasses & coffee cups, slice butter. 

Join in on the fun with this reestablished community favorite.  Volunteers are needed to help make the pancake batter, heat the sausage, set up coffee area PLUS keep the delicious pancakes available for the community.  We appreciate it!

Join in on the fun with this reestablished community favorite.  Volunteer will need to keep butter & syrup stocked on the food counter; be sure the coffee, water & juice service area is clean and maintained. Volunteers will also help clear the tables and place used dishes, cups and silverware in the kitchen window leading to the dishwasher. Please help to clean up after the event - it would be greatly appreciated.

This is a great way to meet community members! 

For this community event, volunteers are needed to help clean up after the breakfast - clear & put away tables, stack chairs, bring food items to kitchen, wash dishes (training required).  This is such a huge help at the end of the event!
